CDL Driver / Laborer

Extreme Underground HDD LLC of Dickinson, ND is currently hiring for a dependable full-time CDL Driver/Laborer to drive DOT equipment and assist in setting up and preparing the job site. This Driver/Laborer position works a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday and occasional weekends and earns a competitive wage, pay based on experience. We are local industry leaders and believe that hard work can also be fun.

As a Heavy Equipment Operator / Directional Boring Driller, you play a critical role in the successful completion of our specialized projects. Every day, you show up to the job site on time, ready to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. You skillfully operate manual and mechanical equipment to dig trenches, pits, and holes for our underground installations.

Working alongside your coworkers, you perform other necessary tasks that lead to the completion of our high-quality projects. Safety is a top priority for you, so you take care to work carefully and precisely. At the end of the day, you assist with cleaning up and tearing down the job site. As a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator, you are essential to our company’s ability to complete our specialized projects. You are a top-rate communicator who effectively conveys information and makes sure our drilling is accurate. Before we drill, you help identify new and existing underground utilities that could be in the bore path.

You interpret signals from underground transmitters, and you guide the drill operator to ensure the location, angle, and temperature of the drill head are correct. Alongside your coworkers, you also perform other necessary tasks that lead to successful project completion. At the end of the day, you assist with cleaning and tearing down the job site. You take pride in ensuring our drilling operations are completed safely and smoothly!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LABORER

As a Laborer, you are an essential member of our directional drilling crew. You perform the dirt and restoration work that’s necessary when using a hydrovac to excavate and dig trenches. Each day, you arrive at the job site on time, ready to go to work. Attentive to detail, you follow directions with exactness to ensure that the job is completed in a safe and timely manner. You know that your team is relying on you, and you support the driver and the driller in whatever tasks they need you to do. The job is strenuous at times, but you enjoy using your muscles and don’t mind getting a little dirty in the process. You are a hard worker and take pride in accomplishing a job well done!

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to perform the physical functions for this directional drilling job, including the capacity to lift a minimum of 80 pounds
